Manga Square brings you whole new experience on discovering and reading thousands of manga on your device.

we now use tiled images for our reader for extra large images.
displaying tiled images is a technique that is most commonly used in maps apps so that it can display a large map image at multiple zoom levels and were the first one on appstore to bring this to a manga reader. actually, we go even further technical-wise by tiling images on-the-fly whereas maps would often have their map image pre-tiled on their server.

the benefits are:

first, weve seen the memory usage dropping up to 10x in some situations, preventing many of the out-of-memory crashes when viewing those particular mangas with long-long-long images.

second, the page loading performance also has improved up to 5-6x for particularly large images.

Competing apps tried to solve this same problem by down-scaling memory-intensive images to the point that texts become blurry.
Some other apps simply crashed on those same pages during our testing.

Really good app for reading manga. My only problem are the images not fitting the whole screen when reading left-right/right-left and I need to zoom out every time I go to the next page. I hope this gets fixed soon!

Im really scared everytime an manga app updates n makes it worse. BUT 1st time ever an update really does improved the app. Thank You!! I love the new tiled feature^^

Because of the tile image it takes so much time to load, or it doesnt even load at all! And now the ads come on top of the screen while reading manga. I dont know if the ads were already like that or not since I havent used this app for a month! But the tile image really is bad. It doesnt load fast.

There are times when it crashes but for the most part it works better than other readers. :D

Overall a great app, tons of manga, though I do have 2 problems with this app. 1) Some pages have two pages on one page in-app which is a real pain and makes the manga a bit more confusing to read. 2) I cant find the button to buy the full version of the app. If these are fixed Ill be really happy with this app.

Some bad moments

This app is not worth it at all it screws up my devices constantly and freezes on loading page all the time so I will be deleting this app for good

I love this app. great design, great loading times (and great manga). the one thing I dont understand, however, is the inability to remove the ads through an in-app purchase. I would gladly pay $5, $10, even $15 for an ad-free app with such a beautiful interface and easy-to-use software such as this one. why remove the option for new users? if this could be fixed, though, Im sure there would be a great deal of people who would accompany me in paying just a bit extra for the ability to remove ads. this app is easily a 5-star app if not for that one ailment.

I love this app! The lay out is great and easy to navigate and all the features are useful. However I do find that it crashes from time to time, and that on my phone I can never get One Punch Man to download or even read on my device! >.< Its super frustrating because I want to read it but it wont work no matter what I do

Dragon ball Chou chapter 8 has been out for weeks and you refuse to update. Considering uninstalling just for that.

Tried multiple Manga reading apps and this is by far the best one!

Diverse, good titles even for adults.. App performs well even on early model iPhones.
